Synthflow AI Raises $20M Series A to Lead the Next Generation of Enterprise Voice Automation
From endless customer service queues to chronic turnover in call centres, businesses have long struggled to keep pace with rising customer expectations. For decades, voice automation has promised relief—but only now has the technology matured enough to deliver meaningful results at scale.
Berlin-based startup Synthflow AI is stepping into that moment. The company has secured $20 million in Series A funding to accelerate the global rollout of its enterprise voice AI platform, positioning itself at the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry.
The funding round was led by Accel, with continued support from existing investors Atlantic Labs and Singular. The raise follows a 2024 seed round, bringing Synthflow’s total funding to $30 million. The company plans to use the new capital to expand internationally, establish a U.S. office, and further enhance its AI-powered voice agent platform designed to automate phone-based customer interactions seamlessly.
Reinventing Voice Automation for the Contact Centre Era
Synthflow AI has developed a no-code platform that enables businesses to deploy natural-sounding AI voice agents quickly and without technical complexity. These virtual agents can handle appointment scheduling, customer support inquiries, lead qualification, and other repetitive tasks—without requiring specialized AI teams or extensive implementation cycles.
With over 1,000 customers already using the platform, Synthflow is rapidly gaining traction among BPO firms and global contact centres seeking scalable automation solutions.
“Businesses and their customers are becoming increasingly comfortable communicating with AI agents,” said co-founder and CEO Hakob Astabatsyan. “Our mission at Synthflow AI is to make high-quality, low-cost AI voice agents more accessible to improve customer services everywhere. The BPO and contact centre market represents a massive opportunity for us, and we’re already experiencing significant growth in this sector thanks to the simplicity of our no-code platform and the reliability and quality of our AI voice agents. This funding will help us accelerate this growth and scale our product so that we can continue pioneering Voice AI technology globally.”
Since its 2024 seed round, Synthflow has integrated its technology with BPO providers and contact centres worldwide, delivering measurable operational impact. To date, its AI agents have handled 45 million calls with 99.9% uptime, answered 35% more calls than human operators, and saved more than 5 million hours of contact centre time.
Human-Like Voice Agents—Ready Out of the Box
A key differentiator for Synthflow is its proprietary AI Voice Operating System (OS), designed to deliver conversations that are nearly indistinguishable from human interaction. The platform supports over 200 integrations across CRM systems, calendars, and telephony tools, allowing for rapid deployment and seamless workflow integration.
Unlike traditional voice AI implementations that can take up to six months to deploy, Synthflow’s solution can be operational in a fraction of that time.
Its white-label voice agents require zero coding and can manage complex workflows, including real-time data exchange, AI-to-human handoffs, and multi-channel coordination. The platform is purpose-built for non-technical business users who require enterprise-grade performance without enterprise-level complexity.
“Voice AI is at a real inflexion point; voice agents have been improving rapidly and have never been more cost-effective to deploy,” said Luca Bocchio, Partner at Accel. “The Synthflow AI team is seizing the moment from legacy players by making this technology more accessible. The market opportunity for deploying voice agents in traditional customer support use cases is vast and, as infrastructure continues to evolve and AI capabilities improve further, new emerging use cases in areas such as healthcare, financial services, education and more will continue to open up. Hakob and the team’s technical expertise and momentum so far have been impressive. We’re delighted to be investing in their vision and joining the journey ahead.”
Founders Bridging the Gap Between AI and Business Usability
Founded in 2023 by Armenian-born serial entrepreneurs Albert Astabatsyan, Hakob Astabatsyan, and Sassun Mirzakhan-Saky, Synthflow AI was born out of a shared insight: the biggest bottleneck in voice automation was not technical capability, but business usability.
Having previously collaborated on AI-enabled software ventures, the founders set out to build a platform that could serve not just tech giants, but also mid-market enterprises with limited resources. That philosophy is reflected in Synthflow’s no-code architecture and modular integrations with widely used enterprise systems.
Their combined expertise in AI, product development, and customer experience has positioned Synthflow to compete in the fast-growing $168 billion global conversational AI market. The latest funding round underscores investor confidence in the company’s long-term vision.
Expanding the Future of Enterprise Voice AI
Looking ahead, Synthflow plans to establish a U.S. headquarters and expand its teams across engineering, sales, and customer success. The company will also invest heavily in research and development to further enhance the human-like quality, performance, and adaptability of its AI voice agents.
While its immediate focus remains on BPO providers and contact centres, Synthflow is exploring opportunities in healthcare, financial services, and education—industries where intelligent voice automation could significantly reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
As businesses increasingly demand always-on, intelligent communication channels, Synthflow AI aims to set a new benchmark for enterprise voice technology—one where AI voice agents sound less like machines and more like meaningful human interactions.
