Megaworld, Samsung to Roll Out AI-Powered Homes in the Philippines
MANILA, Philippines — Property giant Megaworld Corp. is ushering in a new era of residential living with the rollout of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered homes this year, forged through a partnership with global technology leader Samsung.
The initiative brings together Megaworld’s expertise in real
estate innovation and Samsung’s leadership in AI-driven smart living, aiming to
deliver next-generation homes that are more intuitive, responsive, and aligned
with modern lifestyles.
Megaworld said the initial rollout will begin in select
properties, starting with Park McKinley West in Taguig, before expanding to
other developments across its townships.
Under the partnership, Samsung will integrate a
comprehensive AI-powered ecosystem into Megaworld’s residential projects,
transforming traditional homes into intelligent living spaces.
“Innovation is central to Megaworld’s vision of shaping
future-ready communities,” said Francis Viernes. Megaworld head of business
innovation and transformation. “Through our AI-powered homes initiative, we are
redefining residential living by creating intelligent spaces that enhance
comfort, safety, and sustainability across our townships.”
Viernes added that the initiative marks a significant step
in elevating the overall living experience and setting new standards for modern
township developments.
Megaworld has been at the forefront of smart home
development in the Philippines, having launched its iTownships initiative
nearly a decade ago. The program focused on future-proofing communities by
integrating digital technology, innovative design, and seamless connectivity
into master-planned developments.
The company said it is now taking that vision further by
embedding advanced AI technologies into its residential projects.
At the core of Megaworld’s AI-powered homes is the Samsung
SmartThings ecosystem, an advanced digital hub that enables seamless
integration of smart devices and home systems. Through a single mobile app,
residents can control and personalize their living spaces, setting automated
routines based on time, weather, device status, and user behavior.
The AI-powered homes will feature intelligent climate
control, adaptive lighting, and voice-activated command centers, offering
residents a more personalized and efficient way of living.
According to Megaworld, these precision-engineered homes go
beyond basic automation, signaling a shift toward truly intelligent residential
environments designed for the evolving needs of urban dwellers.
